Tizen overtakes Android Wear in smartwatch market share

When it comes to market share, Android Wear is struggling a little bit. After the first wave of watches, new releases were few and far between. In that period of time, Samsung found some success with its Tizen-powered Gear smartwatches.

Tizen now controls 1% more market share than Android Wear, though both still control less than a fifth on their own. The Apple Watch controls 57% of the market share, dominating both.

With the release of Android Wear 2.0, things might change soon. The new version of Android Wear has brought a wave of new smartwatches from both tech companies and luxury watch companies. This might be the resurgence of Android Wear, so this graph might look very different in a year!
