Super Mario Run launches on Android

Looks like we won’t have to wait until March 23 to visit the Mushroom Kingdom.

Nintendo has officially released Super Mario Run for Android, launching the game into the Play Store a few hours than expected. The app is version 2.0.0, the same version that was released as an update to iOS users today. That update brings mode playable characters, some adjustments to make the game easier, and some other various improvements.

Super Mario Run is free to start, giving you the first four levels of World Tour and some other modes to check out. If you’d like to progress any further, though, you’ll need to pay $9.99 to unlock the full game. The game includes three modes: the standard World Tour, the competitive Toad Rally, and a Kingdom Builder that lets you design your very own Mushroom Kingdom.

Super Mario sure took his sweet time to Run onto Android, but it’s nice that it’s finally here. Now we can give the game a try for ourselves and see if it’s worth the $10 that Nintendo is asking for the full experience.

Are you going to try Super Mario Run?
