Here’s Samsung Galaxy S8’s DeX Desktop Dock

It’s pretty common knowledge these days that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will feature support for the DeX dock – an accessory which is supposed to allow owners to connect their flagship to an external monitor in order to get an uncluttered desktop experience.

Well it appears the DeX Station has already leaked online and you can take a look at it, as we speak. We also have extra info about the accessory’s specifications and pricing.

According to a Tweet by Roland Quandt, the DeX Station will come bundling two USB-A ports, an Ethernet port (100Mpbs), a USB Type-C port, as well as an HDMI port for external video (up to 4K at 30fps). What’s more the listing he shared with us, revealed the dock will feature an embedded cooling fan.

We can also tell you the DeX Station will come with a €149.99 price attached (which is about $217 CAD). The dock will allow users to add a mouse or keyboard in order to allow for a better interaction with the apps.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to make a grand debut on March 29 during an event in New York. In anticipation of the launch, Samsung has already officially announced Bixby – the virtual assistant which will come pre-installed on the flagship.
