Motorola Moto M now official with 5.5-inch display and 16MP camera

Motorola’s new Moto M leaked out in all its metal glory in late October, and now the handset is officially official.

Lenovo-owned Motorola has unveiled the Moto M, which features a 5.5-inch full HD 2.5D curved display and a 2.2GHz MediaTek Hello P15 octa-core processor under the hood. It boasts a fully metallic build and a nano-coating for resistance to spills. (It is not water resistant.) The camera on the back is a 16-megapixel shooter, and there’s an 8-megapixel camera on the front.

The Moto M includes 32GB of built-in storage, a microSD card slot for expandable storage, and 4GB of RAM. There’s a fingerprint scanner, a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top of the handset, and a battery that measures in at 3050mAh. It’s running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box.

It’ll sell in China for 1,999 Yuan (about $295).
