A few days ago Chinese device manufacturer Meizu unveiled the budget-friendly M5, a colorful handset with an extremely attractive price-tag.
Well now Meizu comes back to roll out a premium handset. The device is called the Pro 6s and is the successor of the previous Pro 6 model and comes boasting an improved camera and battery.
The smartphone features a unibody with curved edges and arrives with a 5.2-inch AMOLED display with 1080p resolution and 3D Press capabilities. Meizu has thrown a Helio X25 chipset under the hood, which is a deca processor working hand in hand with Mali-T880MP4 GP.
There’s also 4GB of RAM and 64GB of non-expandable storage onboard. The main camera now features an updated 12M IMX386 sensor with 4-axis optical image stabilization, laser-assistance and phase-detection autofocus plus 10-LED dual-tone ring flash. The selfie snapper is of a 5MP variety.
Compared to the predecessor which has a 2,560 battery, the Meizu Pro 6S takes advantage of a beefier 3,060 mAh one. Other specs include LTE Cat.6, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and dual-SIM.
The phone runs Android OS out the box (probably Marshmallow) with Flyme launcher on top. Meizu will start selling the phone in China for $399 / CAD $298 but hopefully third-party sellers like GearBest will pick it up in the future.
