As of November 20th, Spotify Free support has been added to Amazon Alexa devices as well as Bose smart speakers and soundbars. Alexa owners should be good to go,

Two years after hitting Google Home, Spotify Free joins a list of over 100 streaming services already available through Sonos. Sonos and Spotify have rolled out an update today that enables you to access Spotify Free through your Sonos devices, so you can spice up your office holiday party straight from your desk at no extra cost.
