Alto’s Odyssey launches on Android July 26

It has been several months since Alto’s Odyssey arrived on iOS devices, and now it looks like the popular game is on its way to Android.

The follow-up to the super successful Alto’s Adventure will land on Android on Thursday, July 26. The new game follows the same formula as the first, which is to say you’ll play as Alto or one of the character’s many friends and race down mountain after mountain. This new title takes place in a desert, with dynamic weather and lighting effects.

You’ll race across different biomes, including canyons and dunes. There will be random wind vortexes and rushing water, as well as different ways to grind and pile on the combo bonuses. New tricks, like wall riding, are part of the fun, too. There are six unique characters in Alto’s Odyssey, each of which will bring different attributes and abilities.

There is also Zen Mode, which will allow you to simply race down and enjoy the scenery without having to worry about challenges or a high score. A Photo Mode will let you snap gorgeous screenshots of your adventure (or odyssey, if you will).

Alto’s Adventure launched for Android back in 2016 and became a popular title, especially as a free-to-play game.

Alto’s Odyssey is developed by Snowman, along with artist and developer Harry Nesbitt. It will be published by Noodlecake Studios for Android when it arrives on Android next week. You can pre-register for the title via the Play Store right now.
