Google Lens, which allows a person to use their camera to quickly identify an object, animal, and more, has been rolling out to devices within the Pixel lineup for a bit of time now.
Now it appears Google is ready to expand the effort, as it has confirmed that it is rolling out the feature to all Android users as long as they are able to run the most recent version of Google Photos. The company did note in its announcement on Twitter that the feature is rolling out in stages, so if you haven’t already received the update, just wait a bit longer.
Rolling out today, Android users can try Google Lens to do things like create a contact from a business card or get more info about a famous landmark. To start, make sure you have the latest version of the Google Photos app for Android: https://t.co/KCChxQG6Qm

Google Lens allows users to scan items of all types to try and gain additional information on whatever is captured in the phone’s camera. That can be from trying to figure out a breed of dog, identifying a landmark, or even creating a new contact from a business card.
