Google delaying some white Pixel 2 orders by a month

One of the biggest questions Google was forced to answer with the launch of the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL was whether or not it’d be able to meet demand for its new smartphones. When Google launched the original Pixel and Pixel XL last year, it took quite a while to start fulfilling orders on a timely basis, especially for the Pixel XL. This year doesn’t seem to be much different, but it looks like the smaller Pixel 2 is seeing the brunt of the pressure this time around.

As noted by Android Police, many people are expressing their unhappiness at the fact that Google has apparently delayed their order of the white Pixel 2 by a month. In an effort to appease customers whose orders have been delayed, Google is offering a $40 Live Case for free.

It’s worth noting that shipping for the Pixel 2 is a bit all over the place depending on which model you are looking for. The unlocked 64GB white Pixel 2 is listed as out of stock at the time of publication. However, the same variant with 128GB built-in storage will ship in 3 to 4 weeks. The Verizon variant of the 64GB white Pixel 2 ships immediately, but the 128GB Verizon model will ship out in 3 to 4 weeks.

Depending on the model you want and the amount of storage you need, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are kind of hard to come by just days after launching to the public.
