Motorola 360 Sport Now Getting Android Wear 2.0 Update

Got a Motorola Moto 360 Sport smartwatch laying somewhere around there? If that’s the case, it might be time to get it out. Why? Because the producing company has started rolling out the Android Wear 2.0 update for the smartwatch.

Even if Motorola has apparently given up on smartwatches, the Moto maker kept true to its word and delivered the latest Android Wear update to its watch models. It’s been a long wait (three months since the Moto 360 2nd generation model received the update), but finally, Moto 360 Sport owners can enjoy the perks of having Android Wear 2.0 onboard.

What are the benefits of installing the latest software on your Moto 360 Sport device you might be wondering, right? Well for starters you’ll be able to download and install apps from the Google Play Store directly on your watch without having to have the paired smartphone nearby. Furthermore, the Google Assistant is now the virtual assistant du-jour instead of Google Now.

A specific change to the Moto 360 Sport model is the way its side button now works. After the update, users will be able to quick press it to access apps or press it once and hold to summon the Google Assistant.

Are you seeing the update on your device?
