Lenovo K8 Note with stock Android now official

Earlier this month, Lenovo announced to the world that it would switch to stock Android for all of its future smartphones, starting with the K8 Note.

Looks like Lenovo is keeping their word, because the K8 Note is now official and it does indeed boast a stock Android experience on board. As for the other features future owners can expect to find, the K8 Note boast a 10-core Helio X23 processor, Android 7.1.1 Nougat, a 5.5-inch 1080p HD display, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The K8 Note also has up to 4GB of RAM, up to 64GB of built-in storage and a microSD card slot. There’s also a pair of SIM card slots, a 4000mAh battery, and a Music Key that can be mapped by the user to launch whatever app they desire. On the back there’s one 13-megapixel camera and one 5-megapixel depth camera along with a dual LED flash. There’s a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with a “party flash” around front.

The K8 Note will go on sale on Amazon India beginning August 18 for ₹12,999 (about $203 USD) for the variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage. The model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage will cost ₹13,999.

What do you think of the K8 Note? Are you excited that Lenovo is going to a stock Android experience?
