Latest Moto X4 leak offers high-quality images and spec details

While we wait for Motorola to officially announce the Moto X4, images and details of the device continue to leak out.

New images that clearly show the Moto X4 have been posted by Android Authority. They show the device in Super Black and Sterling Blue colors and give us a good look at the X4’s dual rear camera setup, glass back, and fingerprint reader.

The Moto X4 is rumored to feature a 5.2-inch display and 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1.4µm pixel size, and a focus on low light performance. Around back there’s a 12-megapixel main camera and 8-megapixel wide angle lens, and it’s rumored that the two cameras can work together to add depth of field effects to your photos.

Inside the Moto X4 is rumored to be a Snapdragon 630 processor and 3000mAh battery. Folks in Europe, North America, and Latin America are expected to get 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage with their Moto X4, while the Asia Pacific region will get 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Rounding out the Moto X4’s feature set is IP68 water and dust resistance.

The Moto X4 is rumored to be launching sometime later this year, and it’s expected that it’ll officially support Project Fi and come with a “mid-tier price.” We’ll have to wait until we get our hands on the X4 before we make any judgments about it, but it looks like the device could be a solid mid-range offering. Plus, it’ll be nice to see a more affordable smartphone option on Project Fi’s roster.
