HTC U11 will get 60 fps video recording in the next couple of months

The U11 is an impressive device from HTC, and now it will be getting a new feature that should make owners plenty happy.

Today, HTC’s the official Twitter account tweeted that the U11 will be getting a software update to add 60 fps video recording. HTC says that they will release the update sometime “over the next couple of months,” so there’s no exact date when your handset will be getting the update just yet.

As for why it’s taking HTC so long to get the feature out to all devices in the wild, that’s unknown at this point. The U11 isn’t burdened by carrier testing in the United States considering that it’s only officially supported by Sprint, so that probably isn’t holding things up.

Whatever the reason, the fact the 60 fps video recording is coming to the HTC U11 is good news, even if it is taking a bit of time to arrive.

Did you pick up a U11? Are you looking forward to 60 fps video recording?
