You can now globally disable casting notifications on your streaming device

Getting a casting notification on every device every time someone in the house starts to stream something on the Chromecast or Google Home can definitely be annoying, especially if you have multiple casting devices in the house. You can turn them off, but you have to do so on every device.

Google has finally rolled out a toggle for the notifications. You can now disable the notifications on the Chromecast or Google Home itself, so when someone starts casting content to it, no one will get any notifications. You can do this in the Google Home app in the settings for each device. The option is called “Let others control your casted media.”

The feature rolled out slowly at first but it should now be live for everyone. Open up the Google Home app and check to see if you have it. And if you like the notifications, let us know why!
