Every manufacturer has had some sort of problems with pushing ads to its users. HTC recently had this issue with its keyboard. Usually it’s a mistake and corrected. OnePlus is once again doing this intentionally.
Some OnePlus users are reporting that they’re getting push notifications for a survey to win a OnePlus 5. Previously, the push notifications were advertising the launch of the new device.
These ads are being pushed by a system app by the company itself, which is a pretty sleazy way to treat your customers. The notification shade is a sacred area for Android users, so leave the ads to emails.
