Nokia’s First Comeback Flagship to Launch on August 16

A few days ago the Nokia 8 leaked in official looking press renders giving us a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming flagship said to arrive soon.

Now The Verge has received a press invite, and reports Nokia’s first comeback flagship will make an appearance on August 16 during a press event to be hosted in London.

According to the recent leaks, the Nokia 8 should make a debut with a 5.3-inch display with 2560 x 1440 resolution, as well as a powerful Snapdragon 835 under the hood. The product will also come packing 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

The Nokia 8 will be the first flagship released by the Finnish company in partnership with HMD, after 3 years of silence. It also be the first product from its portfolio to include a dual camera setup which will pair two 13-megapixel sensors developed in partnership with Carl Zeiss.

The phone will be made available in Silver, Blue and Gold Copper color variants and according to rumors will be priced around €600 in Europe which translates to around $876 CAD.

Nokia already unveiled the Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3, but so far the products haven’t made it to Canadian shores yet.
