MetroPCS customers getting Scam ID and Scam Block features thanks to T-Mobile

MetroPCS customers, you’re getting a couple of nifty new features this week.

T-Mobile has announced that it’s launching Scam ID and Scam Block for MetroPCS subscribers this week. Both features will be automatically enabled for all MetroPCS customers starting tomorrow, July 25th.

With Scam ID, incoming calls that are suspected to be spam will include a “Spam Likely” alert. Scam Block will prevent these calls from even ringing your phone.

You can check to see if Scam Block is activated by dialing #STS# (#787#) on your phone. Scam Block can be disabled from your phone by dialing #OFC# (#632#), and it can be reenabled by dialing #ONB# (#662#).

These are nice features to have, because not only can they protect you and your money from scammers, they can save folks that don’t normally answer calls from unknown numbers because the incoming scam calls won’t distract you. The new features are free for everyone, too, which makes them even better.
