LG V30 to be unveiled at IFA 2017 on August 31

Word on the street has been that LG planned on unveiling its V30 flagship at IFA 2017 this year, and it turns out that is indeed the case.

Today LG sent out invites for its upcoming event which will take place on August 31. The invite is pretty straightforward, with a “save the date” for 9:00am local time on August 31. The event takes place in Berlin, Germany, and if the silhouette on the front of the invite is any indicator, we’re definitely getting a new V-series phone from the Life’s Good crew.

We can see rounded corners on the invite, too, and what appears to be a hint at another tall screen similar to what we’ve already seen with the G6 earlier this year. Unfortunately, the invite doesn’t include any other details about the device, but that’s not too surprising.

As far as the rumor mill goes, the V30 is expected to feature an AMOLED display, IP68-rated water and dust resistance, an enclosed battery, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and up to 128GB of built-in storage. We only have a little over a month to go before LG makes it official.

Who’s excited to see what the V30 offers?
