As anticipated, LG just outed a new family of devices which will be sold under the Q moniker. Meet the LG Q6 (or LG G6 mini), Q6+ and the Q6? – three smartphones which include the FullVision display with 18:9 aspect ratio of the LG G6.
We’re also seeing the same minimal bezel design, compact body and the frame is still made of 7000 series aluminum. But there quite a few differences setting aside the Q family from LG’s flagship. For starters, the phones bundle a smaller 5.5-inch display with FHD+ resolution (2160 x 1080).
On the inside all new handsets employ the computing power of a Snapdragon 435 processor, but they differ in terms of storage and RAM. Here’s what they offer each:
- LG Q6? – 2GB RAM / 16GB storage
- LG Q6 – 3GB RAM / 32GB storage
- LG Q6+ – 4GB RAM / 64GB storage
When it comes for photography, the phones include a singular 13-megapixel main sensor on the back and a 100-degree 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front. All three new Q models ship with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out the box and include facial recognition tech.
The Q family will start selling in Asia in August. But the handsets will also be made available in Europe, Latin America and North America. Hopefully Canada will see them too.
