The Essential Phone has unfortunately missed its shipping goal of end of June (by quite a bit), but the device is coming soon. Essential COO Niccolo de Masi says that the launch is “imminent” in the United States.
The device is said to also launch in other countries in the near future. Launches in western Europe and Japan are being planned, and there may even be carrier models in the UK as the companies is allegedly in talks with EE and others.
Though there are still no release dates, it’s good to hear that the company is still working on the launch. We’re eagerly waiting to see what Andy Rubin has in store for us.
