ASUS has introduced the latest member of its ZenFone Max line, the ZenFone 4 Max.
Revealed on ASUS’s Russian website, the ZenFone 4 Max features a beefy 5,000mAh battery. ASUS has included several special features for this large battery, like PowerMaster tech that ASUS says will help the battery to last longer as well as fast charging tech that can get the 5,000mAh battery charged from 0% to 100% in four hours. You can also use the ZenFone 4 Max’s battery to recharge other devices using the included OTG cable.
ASUS is also highlighting the ZenFone 4 Max’s dual rear camera setup. The main camera is a 13-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture, while the secondary sensor is a 120-degree wide angle camera. The ZenFone 4 Max’s cameras also offer 0.03-second phase detection autofocus and electronic image stabilization. Meanwhile, the 8-megapixel front-facing camera is equipped with an LED flash and software editing features.
Other specs included with the ZenFone 4 Max is a 5.5-inch display, 16/32GB of storage, a microSD slot, up to 3GB of RAM, a front-mounted fingerprint reader, FM radio, dual SIM slots, a microUSB port, and variants that offer a Snapdragon 425 or a Snapdragon 430 processor. On the software side, the ZenFone 4 Max is running Android 7.0 below ASUS’s custom ZenUI user interface.
The ASUS ZenFone 4 Max will be sold for 13,900 rubles, which is $230 USD. While its spec list isn’t going to blow anyone away, the ZenFone 4 Max’s 5,000mAh battery is pretty impressive, and so ASUS’s new phone could be worth a look if battery life is your main concern when shopping for a new smartphone. Unfortunately, there’s no word on when or if the ZenFone 4 Max will make its way outside of Russia, so most of us will just have sit and stare at the images of the ZenFone 4 Max for now.
