Earlier this month, Samsung launched pre-orders for the unlocked versions of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ in the US. Now the handsets have officially gone on sale, with shipping happening immediately from both Samsung’s online store and at Best Buy.
It’s worth noting that Samsung originally said that if pre-orders were placed on its website by May 24, those devices would arrive at owner’s doorsteps by May 30, so it’s likely that some folks already have their unlocked Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ in hand.
The devices are available at full retail, so you’ll fork over $724.99 for the Galaxy S8 and $824.99 for the Galaxy S8+ if you’re so inclined to make either handset yours. Samsung and Best Buy are offering a deal on the new Gear VR headset for only $49 when you buy a Galaxy S8 or S8+, too.
