Sony announces Xperia L1, destined for U.S. shores in April

Sony has officially announced a brand new smartphone, a mid-range handset that will arrive in the United States soon.

The Sony Xperia L1 boasts a 5.5-inch 720p HD display, a MediaTek quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of built-in storage. There’s a microSD card slot for expandable storage up to 256GB, a rear 13-megapixel camera, and the front-facing camera is a 5-megapixel shooter. The battery measures in at 2620mAh and there’s a USB Type-C port on the bottom of the phone.

The Xperia L1 is running Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. It will arrive in the United States sometime in April of this year, but Sony has not divulged how much it will cost.
