Cortana is Microsoft’s personal assistant. When you have the option of using Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa on the Huawei Mate 9, and soon Samsung Bixby on the upcoming Galaxy S8, it’s hard to find room for yet another assistant. However, Cortana is pretty decent.
The latest feature added to the app is the ability to access Cortana from the lockscreen by swiping from the side. It’s an easy way to check all the info she has available for you without being integrated into the OS like Google Assistant is.
The Cortana home screen has also been updated with more info at a glance. Microsoft has made the app available in Australia as well, so give it a try if you haven’t been able to.
