Android 7.1.2 beta 2 released for Nexus and Pixel devices, includes some new goodies

A new beta is out for Nexus and Pixel owners. You can now download the Android 7.1.2 beta 2 for the Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, and Nexus Player.

The new beta offers a few interesting changes. The Nexus 6P now gets the same ability to swipe the fingerprint sensor for the notification shade as the Nexus 5x recently did. This is an incredibly useful feature, especially for a larger phone.

The Pixel C also gets a bunch of goodies. It finally gets the Pixel nav buttons, a new recent apps UI, and the Pixel launcher. Yes, a Pixel device now has the Pixel launcher. It looks a bit different in tablet form, but it’s the official launcher that will be updated on the Play Store.

If you’re part of the beta program, start downloading it and let us know what you think!
