AccuWeather has released a Gear VR app, because why not

As Oculus and Samsung continue to look for more partners to develop Gear VR apps, apparently they thought a virtual reality weather app would be compelling. Or maybe this was actually AccuWeather's idea. Either way, AccuWeather has published an app for the Gear VR, titled 'Weather for Life.'

The app's main interface is shown above, displaying real-time conditions with a depiction of the current weather in the background. If checking the humidity in virtual reality isn't exciting enough for you, AccuWeather plans to release 360-degree videos every week for playback in this app.
