A Phone to Last You Two Days: the LG X Power2 Now Official

LG won’t be all about the LG G6 in Barcelona. The Taiwanese company will also be unveiling a new budget mid-ranger that comes with a pretty big battery under the hood.

The phone is called the LG X Power2 and is the successor of the LG X Power which launched last year with a 4,100 mAh juice box under the hood.

The phone features a 5.5-inch display with 720 x 1280-pixel resolution and 1.5GHz octa-core chipset under the hood (more details about the exact specs of the SoC will be coming soon). LG also throws in 1.5GB/2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD to 128GB).

Like every self-respecting budget phone, it takes advantage of a 13MP/5MP camera combo. It also runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, which is really good news.

Last but not least, but very important, the phone takes advantage of a consistent 4,500 mAh battery. The juice pack in combination with the low-resolution display and Nougat are expected to ensure a 2-day battery life for the device.

The LG X Power2 will be offered in Black Titan, Shiny Titan, Shiny Gold and Shiny Blue and based on its predecessor’s price, it shouldn’t be priced more than $250 CAD.
