LG G5 getting Nougat update in South Korea, coming soon to other markets

LG has announced that it is rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat to the LG G5. The company claims that the V20 was the first device to feature Nougat out of the box and the G5 is the first device to get the Nougat update after Google’s devices. This is a pretty impressive accomplishment, LG.

Nougat offers new features like multi-window, Vulkan API support, Daydream support, Doze on the Go for better battery life, upgraded notifications, and a lot more. It’s a pretty significant update.

The update is rolling out in South Korea but will be coming to more markets in the coming weeks. Carriers might delay it further here in the US for testing, but G5 owners should be receiving update notifications fairly soon.
