Google Australia has today announced that their separate YouTube app built entirely with parents and children in mind, “YouTube Kids” is launching in Australia, and is available presently for download.
There’s no denying the impact services such as YouTube have had on our lives. It’s a powerful medium which can be used to broadcast all sorts of messages to the public, which inherently lies the problem of censoring certain content that isn’t intended for younger audiences.
Google addressed this in February of this year when they first launched the YouTube Kids app in the US, where since then it has seen more than 10 million downloads. Now at last, the app is available here.
