It’s been quite a while since anyone shared anything about the upcoming Nexus phones, but that silence ends today.
#LG‘s New #NEXUS: Likely Metal Body,roughly 146.9×72.9×8/9.8mm,5.2″ Screen,Front Facing Speakers,Fingerprint Sensor on the Back,USB Type-C
— OnLeaks (@OnLeaks) August 12, 2015
Thanks to Nowwhereelse’s @Onleaks account, a handful of preliminary specs for both the Huawei and LG Nexus phones have been leaked.
First off, the LG Nexus’s screen size is confirmed to be 5.2-inches, and will come with at least a metal frame, if not for a metal body alongside two front facing speakers. The rumoured fingerprint sensor will in fact be present on the back of the device, which makes sense by looking at the purported case leaks.
USB Type C has also been confirmed as it was hinted by Google themselves during Google I/O that the next Nexus would sport a USB Type C connector after getting support in Android M. The leak reveals even the dimensions of the phone, which are 146.9 x 72.9 x 8mm (or 9.8mm with a supposed portruding camera module).
#Huawei‘s #NEXUS: Metal Body,roughly 159.4×78.3×6.6/8.5mm,likely 5.7″ Screen,Front Facing Speakers,Fingerprint Sensor on the Back,USB Type-C

As for the Huawei Nexus, it will be a lot bigger coming in at 159.4 x 78.3 x 6.6mm (or 8.5mm due to the camera module). The phone will be ALL metal instead of just the frame and will sport a 5.7-inch display. Similar to the LG Nexus, it will come with front facing speakers, a rear facing fingerprint sensor and USB Type C.
Here’s hoping we get details on the processor and battery next time.
