When Google first launched the Android M Developer Preview, the company wasn’t shy in saying that the platform would receive updates along the way, leading up to the public launch later this year.
And now, quite a bit of time later, the first update to the preview has been released. Android M Developer Preview 2 seems to be a small enough release, insofar that it includes near-final APIs for developers that will make it easier to test their apps with the mobile operating system while also throwing in up-to-date platform code for good measure.
The release also includes bug fixes from what was discovered in the first developer preview.
