If you were tired of those cheesy comparison charts against flagships from HTC, Samsung and Sony showing nothing about the phone’s appearance; then this post is for you.
Just days before its announcement, the OnePlus One got its renders leaked in a now deleted Imgur album showing the phone in its full glory. The image you see up top is a side view of the phone and it seems like OnePlus is sticking to capacitive navigation buttons rather than on-screen buttons to probably increase as much screen real-estate as possible. What you see here are the “StyleSwap” interchangeable backplate covers similar to the Moto G, and they sure do bring a fresh look to the device (dibs on the denim cover).
The dimensions were also revealed and the phone will be 159.9mm tall, 75.9mm wide and be 8.9mm thick while weighing 160 grams.
Check out the rest of the pictures in the leaked gallery here (I wonder what that USB cable is for. It’s like an Apple lightning connector with a Micro USB attachment):
As a reminder, the phone is going to sport a 2.5 GHz quad core Snapdragon 801 SoC (MSM8974AC variant) with a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 13MP f/2.0 camera and a decently sized 3100 mAh battery. 16/64 GB of internal storage is provided alongside 3 GB of RAM running (in North America) CyanogenMod 11S (Android 4.4 ROM), all for a crazy price of under $400 USD.
Hopefully this phone will support all major HSPA+ and LTE bands in North America for it to be a true record breaker at this price, a record which currently the Nexus 5 holds.
