Motorola continues to impress with its update speed as another Moto X model gets the update to Android 4.4.2 KitKat, bringing it to the absolute newest version of Android out there. Previously, Motorola updated a few models of the Moto X to Android 4.4 faster than the Nexus 4 got the update, and far faster than any other OEM could push the update out. This time around, it’s the Verizon model getting 4.2.2.
The update is not big by any means, mostly made to bump the Android version up to the latest and take advantage of all the little changes Google included. There are also bug fixes and improved battery life and connectivity for the device, which is a great bonus. Big or not, it’s a good update that should be downloaded.
If you want to get it as soon as possible, head over to Settings > About phone and check for updates. If you don’t get it, it may be a staged rollout and you’ll have to wait a little while. Don’t worry about it, you’ll get it soon. Tell us if you got the update in the comments!
