The update frequency of the Moto X is truly impressive, with the device updating to Android 4.4 KitKat on some carriers faster than the Nexus 4. The Moto X’s move to Android 4.4.2 hasn’t been quite as fast, but it is coming before many other phones have gotten any taste of KitKat. To date, the T-Mobile version of the Moto X is the one variant that’s been updated to the latest version of Android.
Today it’s the Moto X on US Cellular that’s getting the Android 4.4.2 treatment. Those who have a US Cellular Moto X should head over to Settings > About phone > System updates to check for new updates and start downloading it! It’s a small update, fixing some bugs here and there, so you won’t notice a big difference. However, it’s nice to have your device actively being updated and supported.
Hopefully the other carriers will follow suit quickly, because we all want the update on our Moto Xs! If you own a US Cellular model, tell us if you got the update in the comments!
