According to a story we reported on yesterday, the Motorola Moto G was going to be going on sale starting January 9th for only $99 off contract with Verizon. The new smartphone will be available through Verizon retail locations and Best Buy at this price. Apparently the leaks regarding this pricing have prompted a reversal of the policy of holding the devices until January 9th and at least Best Buy will sell them as soon as the devices are physically delivered to their stores.
Best Buy spokesman Jonathan Sandler told the LA Times, “the phone is currently landing in stores and is available for sale as soon as it arrives.” Verizon has not commented on the availability of the Moto G or the special pricing.
