The news of Lenovo’s acquirement of Motorola still comes as a shock to a lot of us, but it seems when Larry Page was referring to devoting more energy to driving innovation for the benefit of Android’s ecosystem, a shift away from “other hardware efforts” excludes Motorola’s Google X Labs equivalent — Advanced Technology and Projects, which is now said to be integrated with the team at Android.
The group, headed by Regina Dugan, who has previously announced the team at Motorola were working on security password e-tattoos which could act as microphones for smartphones, as well as other ingestible product technologies, are believed to be moving to Mountain View, to work under the lead of Sundar Pichai.
