Verizon’s Galaxy S III now receiving its Android 4.3 update

Verizon Galaxy S III owners in need of a little push to help them over the mid-week hump got exactly that today in the form of a tasty helping of Jelly Beans. Verizon and Samsung are now rolling an Android 4.3 + Premium Suite combo update out to the Verizon-flavored Galaxy S III, complete with support for Samsung’s Galaxy Gear smartwatch, an updated version of Multi-Window, a handful of bug fixes and quite a bit more. The update bumps the Verizon S III up to software version JJSS15J.I535VRUCML1.

This update began rolling out to U.S. carrier-branded Galaxy S III models back in late November, and while it’s taken its sweet time to get to the Verizon variant of Samsung’s 2012 flagship, all that matters now is that the fresh Jelly Bean goodness is now rolling out to Big Red’s customers. It’s a pretty beefy update and, while one of the biggest pieces is the Galaxy Gear compatibility, features like the enhanced notifications, an updated Multi-Window app and the ability to move apps to the SD card make this bundle of software something that all Verizon S III owners can get excited about.

The Verizon Galaxy S III’s Android 4.3 update is now rolling out over the air, so be sure to keep an eye out for it in the coming days.
