While the HTC One Google Play edition is now receiving Android 4.4.2, the Verizon variant of the device is just now getting Android 4.3.
Talk about pathetic update times…
It certainly isn’t “news” that Big Red is so slow at updating its phones, but at least they’re being active in getting these updates done at all.
Of course the HTC One was very, very late on the scene to be offered by Verizon so this is just a tiny bit excusable, but in the grand scheme of things, just a bit annoying.
However, the Android 4.4 update is supposedly going to be hitting the device at some point in January which is very nice.
Some of you have probably started getting the update already— let us know how you’re feeling about all of this.
