Earlier this month we reported on news that LG G2 smartphone was expected to receive the Android 4.4 KitKat update before the end of the year. LG has delivered as reports from Korea indicate the update, clocking in at 637 MB, has started hitting phones as an over-the-air update. The reports are uncertain as to what order the update is rolling out to devices in the country and no information was provided on how long the process will take, but it looks like it will be nice, early Christmas present for at least some owners in Korea.

Early reports put the update for the LG G2 coming to the U.S. before the end of the year as well, but no sign of the update has surfaced as we prepare for the final week of the year. Other markets will be waiting a while still with France expected to see the update in early 2014, along with Canada.
