As you know, Google is hosting a Google+ event today that caught everyone by surprise as in we are expecting the Nexus 5, Nexus 10, and Kit Kat to be announced any moment. The early speculation was that it would be the official rollout of Helpouts, but today’s rumor is in a completely different direction. One of the brightest spots of Google+ is it’s tremendous use of Auto Awesome and editing for pictures. Looks like Google has a similar Auto Awesome feature ready for videos. Word is it might be something similar to HTC’s Video Highlights where Google+ would take multiple videos and automatically edit them into a “professionally” looking highlight video.
Another hint that today’s event could be about this is the fact that Vic Gundotra used #momentsthatmatter this morning in a post regarding the event. Of course, today’s event doesn’t have to be about one thing. It could certainly be about a couple of things, which could also include last night’s Helpouts rumor. We don’t have long to wait to find out, but I am hoping for Auto Awesome for videos.
