Samsung is also touting the addition of Bixby to the Galaxy S8 devices. Bixby is Samsung’s intelligent assistant that bears some similarities to current virtual assistants, but also holds significance for its possibilities. Bixby is contextually aware of what’s happening on the device, and most notably, Bixby features “cognitive tolerance”, which allows it to understand incomplete commands and perform the task to the best of its knowledge. At launch, Bixby is integrated into select Samsung apps, with plans to expand its functionality to third-party apps. Bixby can be accessed by pressing a dedicated button on Galaxy S8 devices.

Additional changes in the Galaxy S8 line include the removal of the physical home button and the addition of support for Gigabit LTE and Wi-Fi networks.

The Galaxy S8 and S8+ will be available beginning April 21. Color options include Midnight Black, Orchid Gray, Arctic Silver, Coral Blue, and Maple Gold.

Peel remote app upsets users with a ton of ads and lock screen overlays

You've probably heard of the Peel Smart Remote app. It was pre-loaded on a lot of phones back when everything had an IR blaster for like two minutes. Recently, this app has made some changes that have users up in arms. It's popping up full-screen ads and deploying a lock screen overlay. The first one is not uncommon, but the second is totally uncool.

Peel is a free app, so some ads are to be expected.

[Much Screenshot. Very Description] Lenovo's APPShot is a crime against all Play Store listing common sense rules

There's ridiculous. There's shady. There's borderline pathetic. And then there's the new Lenovo APPShot listing on the Play Store. This one page, I swear, is a treasure trove of things that have gone wrong, drove past wrong, fallen off a cliff of wrong, drowned in a sea of wrong, and maybe even caused a cataclysmic explosion of wrong that resulted in a new astronomical black hole of wrong.

The option to save your parking location has disappeared from Google Maps

A few days ago, we reported one unofficial feature in Google Maps 9.49 beta that allowed you to manually save your parking location for future reference. Unlike Google's automatic parking saving that guesses the location based on where you approximately stopped driving and surfaces the info in your Feed, this one was a more manual and more accurate way of pinning down your parking spot. It also let you add notes, set a time limit for metered parkings, and attach photos for your reference.
