The Essential Phone has finally started shipping to those who pre-order it and naturally the first reviews of the handset have started to pop up online. And some of problem that users came across are related to the camera.
Reportedly, the camera is quite slow to launch and even slower to take a photo. Fortunately, it seems that Essential is aware of this fact, as the company recently sent out a tweet in which it alerts Essential Phone owners it has updated the camera app with stability fixes, as well as reduced shot time and improved low-light performance.

In order to be able to experience the changes for yourself, go on to the Google Play Store and update your camera app yourself.
The Essential Phone was introduced back in May and following a slow rollout, it is now finally available for customers. It comes with a sleek 5.71-inch display with 1312 x 2560-pixel resolution and 504ppi, as well as a powerful Snapdragon 835 processor under the hood.
It also includes 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, but no microSD card slot is available on board. The phone runs Android 7.1 Nougat, but it will probably be updated to Android 8.0 Oreo given that it’s a high-end device and all.
