Verizon Ellipsis 8 is the carrier’s newest own-brand Android tablet

One year after launching its own Ellipsis 7 tablet, Verizon is back at it with a new Android slate.

The Ellipsis 8 is Verizon’s newest Android tablet, and just as you might expect, it’s got an 8-inch display. The VZW Ellipsis 8’s spec list is as follows:

  • 8-inch 1280×800 display

  • 1.5GHz quad-core processor

  • 5-megapixel rear camera

  • Front-facing camera

  • microSD card slot

  • 4G LTE

  • Non-removable 5000mAh battery

Verizon is now selling the Ellipsis 8 for $149.99 with a two-year contract, $0 down and 24 monthly payments of $10.41 each with Verizon Edge or $249.99 without a commitment. While it may not touch other new Android tablets in terms of specs, the Ellipsis 8 looks like it could be worth a look for folks that want a small, cellular-enabled tablet that’s easy on the wallet.
