SlickLogin, a small Israeli startup company is the developer behind a neat little sound-based authentication method that uses ultrasonic sound waves to communicate between computers and mobile devices.SlickLogin’s incentive was to introduce a secure and mess-free authentication process for all your accounts. So how does it work? This sound-based authentication works by emitting an inaudible ultrasonic sound from your computer. When your smartphone is placed in close proximity to your computer, it picks up the sound, analyses it and then unlocks the account. A unique key (much like Google’s current two step authentication) is assigned to each login session to enhance security.
